Mr. Shelton’s practice focuses on trademark and copyright counseling, prosecution and litigation. He also counsels clients regarding trademark and copyright issues relating to the Internet. Mr. Shelton has represented major financial institutions, publishers, television networks, electronics manufacturers, artists and others in litigation involving claims of trademark and copyright infringement. In addition, he has advised a wide range of clients, including investment banks, record companies, news organizations, consumer products companies, automobile manufacturers, insurance companies, software publishers, video game developers, and others, with respect to the licensing and protection of their intellectual property.
Mr. Shelton joined the firm in 2009 following twelve years of practice at Clifford Chance where his practice focused on trademark counseling and clearance, trademark prosecution, the intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions and financial transactions, trademark and copyright litigation, and opinions.
